Both of my grandchildren love playing with magnetic designer

This is a great way to address visual perception and visual motor integration skills.

Love the variety so that children can match the activity with their interests.

These are a great way to come up with ideas on what to create!

Great concept of magnetic cards I just thought they would slide into the design holder. Did not work out for my classroom.

I had purchased cards to use for magnet designer,Excellent product.

Just so you know: Not real happy with this board and cards. I thought the cards would fit on the board so they could follow the pattern to drop the dots in. The cards don't fit the board. Also there isn't a storage place for the cards, so that will be a problem in keeping the set together. I kept the set anyway, but wouldn't buy it again.

Used everyday since we received them.

My PreKs and Ks haven't been interested in the cards. I think if maybe there was a way to put these cards INTO the Designer to put the tiles onto the individual spots.

For unknown reasons, I thought that the pattern cards could (or should) be inserted under the grid so that the child could place the magnetic pieces on top of the dots on the cards. I think this would be much better for younger children to make these matches without having to mentally transfer the pieces to match the cards. An older child could make up their own designs. Also, it would be nice if each completed pattern would lock in place until released by the child. She was disappointed when all her work went away when she picked it up to show us. Cards are clever, colors bright, magnet strength appropriate. Not so much fun for a 3 year old.
