These easy-to-make bags are sure to send snack time soaring!

This activity is appropriate for:
preschool - 2nd grade / 3 - 7 years

You will need:

  1. Give each student a wooden clothespin, a zip-close bag, and a pair of wiggly eyes.
  2. Invite students to stick the Peel and Stick Wiggly Eyes to the top of the clothespin where it opens and closes, and then use Glitter Designers or Peel & Stick Jewels to decorate the clothespin.
  3. Allow the clothespins to dry.
  4. Have students fill their plastic bags with a colorful snack, being careful not to overfill the bag.
  5. Starting at the top of the bag, prompt students to gather the plastic in the middle and pinch it together with the clothespin. This will create a “butterfly”—with the colorful snack food on either side of the clothespin forming its “wings”!
