Lakeshore’s Kids & Company Uses Early Childhood Software in Classrooms
Carson, CA

At Kids & Company, learning just got more interactive—and more fun! We recently introduced Lakeshore’s new early childhood software into our curriculum for 3- to 5-year-olds, and our teachers and children are having a blast!

With the children having more knowledge of and exposure to technology at home, integrating the software into our classrooms has been a breeze. And the impact has been immediate. The children jumped right in and started playing—and learning!

From patterning toys and helicopters to counting gumballs and race cars, the activities are a great way to practice language, math and science skills as a whole class. Plus, the children can choose to play on their own during free time. Miss Jamillah reports that her 3- and 4-year-olds are learning numbers up to 30—thanks to Numbers & Counting Adventures Activities. And Miss Kathy says that her 4- and 5-year-olds love to “get to work” in the Phonemic Awareness Fun Factory!

Plus, we’ve been pleasantly surprised to see that the software is helping children develop important social skills, like cooperation and teamwork. As they play, the children really support each other and work as a team, and when one child gets an answer right, the whole class celebrates!

Overall, the software has really added a new dimension to our classroom learning—and our teachers and children couldn’t be more pleased!
