Lakeshore® celebrates Valentine’s Day
CARSON, Calif.—(February 12, 2011)—Extra-special crafts, lively music, and fun, interactive games—this was truly a Valentine’s Day to remember at Lakeshore!
As we do every Saturday, we invited children, parents, and teachers into our stores to take part in free activities. The event this weekend was especially sweet because children were able to make their own valentines for loved ones—from heart-shaped cards and paper bouquets to unique treat bags! We even set up exciting games for them to play around the store, each with a Valentine’s Day theme.
At our New Hyde Park store in New York, a special guest dropped by—Mr. Scott The Music Man!® A wacky, warm-hearted performer, Mr. Scott put on a show that was just as colorful as his tie-dye shirt, shorts, and socks. Children don’t just sing and dance at Mr. Scott’s concerts—they also imitate his silly movements, nutty facial expressions, and zany sound effects! We look forward to having him back for an encore. To learn more about Mr. Scott, visit his website, www.mrscottmusicman.com.
If you missed out on the fun, be sure to catch us next time! You can join us in our stores every Saturday for Free Crafts for Kids from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. While you’re there, be sure to sign up for our mailing list.
