T-Riffic Summer T-Shirts

Encourage students to share their summer adventures…with a colorful bulletin board project that involves the entire class!
This activity is appropriate for:
preschool - 3rd grade / 3 - 8 years
You will need:
- Clothesline or yarn
- Clothespins (two for each student)
- Construction Paper - 9" x 12"
- T-shirt Template
- Markers, colored pencils or Lakeshore Crayon Packs
- Safety Scissors
- Stapler or hot glue gun
Directions
- Using the T-shirt Template, have children cut a T-shirt shape out of construction paper.
- Provide students with markers, crayons or colored pencils, and ask them to write their names and decorate their shirts with summer images.
- String the clothesline or yarn from one end of the bulletin board to the other, and secure it with a stapler or a hot glue gun. Make two rows of clothesline if necessary.
- Fasten students’ completed T-shirts to the clothesline with clothespins.
- You can use construction paper to make grass, sky, flowers or trees to complete the feel of a summer day.
