A Special Bunch
|
This lovely, no-fail project will make quite an impression on back-to-school night—and students will enjoy seeing it every day!
This activity is appropriate for:
pre-k - 3rd grade / 4 - 8 years
You will need:
- Camera
- Flower Template
- Safety Scissors
- Markers, colored pencils, paints or Lakeshore Crayon Packs
- Help-Yourself Glue Tubes
Directions
- Take a photograph of each child during the first week of school.
- After you print the photos, cut out the faces in the shape of a circle.
- Provide students with a Flower Template to decorate with markers, crayons or colored pencils.
- Pass out the photos and let students glue their photo to the center of their flower. Put all of the flowers together and cut out long green stems from butcher paper.
- You can even add a beautiful bow to “gather” the flowers in your “special bunch.” If you wish, make a sign for your bouquet. (You might title it something like “Room 14: A Special Bunch.”)
