School-To-Home Folder
|
Students can always find important paperwork…with handy folders they design and decorate!
This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 5th grade / 5 - 10 years
You will need:
- Folder labels template
- Two-pocket folders (one for each student)
- Washable Broad-Tip Markers - Class Pack
- Easy-Stick Glitter Shapes
- School-themed stickers
- Lakeshore Jumbo Glue Sticks
- Best-Buy Scissors
Directions
- Provide each student with a folder and a copy of the folder labels template. Instruct students to cut out the three labels. (You may want to precut the labels for younger students.)
- Have students glue the large label onto the front cover of the folder and a smaller label to the front of each inside pocket.
- Invite students to use the markers, stickers and glitter shapes to decorate their folders any way they like.
- Encourage students to use their folders to transport important papers to and from home. For example, they can place homework assignments and parent notes in the “Home” pocket and completed work in the “School” pocket.
