Pizza Box Portfolio

Students can keep all of the artwork they make in the school year safely stored—with a pizza box portfolio they can create on their own!
This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 3rd grade / 5 - 8 years
You will need:
Directions
- Have students glue construction paper onto the inside, outside, and edges of the pizza box.
- Create an easy-tote handle:
- a. Poke two holes in the back panel.
- b. Thread yarn through the holes.
- c. Tie a knot in the yarn on the inside of the box.
- d. Close the box.
- e. Poke two holes in the front side of the lid and in the box.
- f. Wrap tape on the ends of a piece of yarn.
- g. Thread the yarn through the holes.
- h. Tie the yarn in a bow on the outside to keep the box closed.
- Have students label the top of the box with their name, grade level, and the school year.
- Decorate the pizza box with glitter painters, crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
- Encourage students to store sketches, paintings, and other art projects in their portfolio.
