This activity is appropriate for:
preschool - kindergarten / 3 - 5 years

You will need:

Directions

Explain to children that they will make mittens and hats that match, with the same shape, color and decorations. Help children cut felt into sets of matching mittens and winter caps. Encourage them to decorate the mittens and caps with matching yarn, gemstones and flexible shapes.
Challenge children to match up the mitten sets.
For an added challenge, encourage children to find the corresponding winter cap.
