May Day Basket

Children create their own May Day basket to hold spring goodies!

This fun craft is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 3rd grade / 5 - 8 years

You will need:

Flimsy paper plate
Construction Paper - 9" x 12"
Safety Scissors
Washable Broad-Tip Markers - Student Pack or Washable Watercolor Set
Help-Yourself Glue Tubes
Stapler or tape
Hole punch
Yarn Laces with Tips

Directions

Decorate the paper plate using markers, watercolors, construction paper pieces or whatever you wish. Let dry.
Curl the paper plate into a cone shape. Tape, glue or staple in place.
Punch two holes in the top of the container, directly across from each other.
Attach a piece of ribbon or yarn through the holes and tie the ends to each other so that you can hang the basket on a door handle.
Fill your basket with a little surprise!
