My Fish Counting Book
|
Children practice counting with a delightful fish book they make themselves!
This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten & up / 5 years & up
You will need:
Directions
- Provide each child with a fish shape from the craft kit and invite children to use glue and the included craft materials to decorate their fish any way they like.
- Have each child glue the decorated fish onto a sheet of construction paper to create a book cover. Ask them to write “My Counting Book” and their name on the cover (or write it for them).
- Have children draw a fish on another sheet of construction paper and write “One Fish” under it. Children can create more book pages by drawing two fish on page 2, three fish on page 3, and so on, writing the number of fish on each page. (They can create as many pages as desired.)
- Help children staple their pages and cover together to complete the books. Encourage them to keep the books at their desks as a fun way to practice counting!
