Fall Table Settings
|
Kids create fun & festive table decorations to celebrate the fall season!
This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 3rd grade / 5 - 8 years
You will need:
Directions
- To make the napkin rings, cut a strip of fall leaf border into 3" pieces. Take each piece and tape the ends together with craft tape to make your napkin ring. Decorate your napkin ring by gluing on a collage leaf.
- To make place mats, invite children to paint the palm of one of their hands brown and each finger a different color using tempera paints.
- Next, help kids stamp their hands onto a sheet of light-colored construction paper.
- Encourage children to use markers to turn their handprint into a turkey by drawing facial features on the thumbprint and legs that stick out of the palm of the handprint.
- If desired, trim down the paper and attach it to a dark-colored sheet of construction paper. Children can then embellish the place mats with wavy border lines using the markers.
- Now you’re ready to sit down at the table and enjoy a fun & festive Thanksgiving meal!
