Directions
- Give each student a copy of the schoolhouse template which will become the cover of the memory book. Invite students to color the schoolhouse with crayons or markers.
- Have students cut out the schoolhouse. Then show students how to cut along the dotted lines of the schoolhouse door. Prompt students to fold the door open.
- Have students glue the schoolhouse to a sheet of construction paper. Remind them to be careful not to glue the door! Students should be able to open and close the door after the glue has dried. If desired, have students decorate the schoolhouse with glitter.
- Prompt students to glue their picture behind the door of the schoolhouse.
- Provide each student with a copy of the memory book pages.
- Have students mount each page onto a sheet of construction paper. Help students punch three holes along the left side of each sheet, including the schoolhouse cover. Then tie the pages together with yarn to make a book.
