These little buddies will add style and flair to any student’s backpack!

This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 2nd grade / 5 - 7 years

You will need:

Directions

Have students roll a small lump of clay into a ball and glue on two wiggly eyes.
Provide students with colored feathers, yarn, or other collage materials and some glue. Have them decorate the buddy any way they like.
Push one end of a pipe stem into the top of the ball of clay so that it is firmly attached. Then loop the other end through a backpack strap and twist it around itself to tie it securely.
