Directions
- Give each student four jumbo craft sticks. Help students glue the craft sticks together to make a rectangular frame. (Overlap the sticks so that the frames are sized for 4" x 6" photos. For sturdier frames, preassemble using a hot glue gun.)
- Print several copies of the autumn shapes template and cut out each shape.
- Invite students to choose two shapes and trace them onto foam sheets.
- Help students cut out the foam shapes, peel off the backing and stick them to opposite corners of their frames. (For younger students, you can cut out foam shapes in advance.)
- Pass out students’ photos and have them tape their photos to the backs of their frames.
- On each student’s frame, write “Back to School” on one foam shape and the year on the other.
- Encourage students to take home their fall photo frames as a keepsake from the new school year!
