All About Me Mobile

Start off the school year with personalized mobiles students will love to create!

This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 3rd grade / 5 - 8 years

You will need:

Recycled half-gallon milk or juice cartons (washed and rinsed)
Carton cover reproducible
Photograph of each student (optional)
Lakeshore Glue Sticks
Crayons or markers
Scissors
Hole punch
String or yarn

Before you begin:

Take a photo of each student and print it out, or have students bring in photos from home. Instead of using photos, you can have students draw pictures of themselves.

Directions

Give each student a copy of the carton cover reproducible and a carton.
Provide crayons or markers, and prompt students to fill in the reproducible with information about themselves. (Have younger students dictate information for you or a parent volunteer to fill in.)
Have students cut out the four pages and glue them to the sides of their cartons. Then instruct them to glue their photo to the “About Me” page.
Have students write their name on the bottom of their carton.
Punch a hole in the top of each carton. Then use yarn or string to hang the finished mobiles from your classroom ceiling!
