This activity works best when you combine students from three or four kindergarten or first grade classes—so you have 100 footprints in all!
This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten - 1st grade / 5 - 6 years
You will need:
- Butcher Paper
- Collage Materials
- Regular Dot Art Painters - 6-Color Set
- Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
- Foot Template (optional)
Directions
- Pair up students with partners. Have them trace each other’s feet onto butcher paper. (Or give each student a copy of the Foot Template to trace.)
- Have each student decorate one foot. Make sure that each pair of students decorates a right and a left foot!
- Tape the footprints to the hallway floor to create a path that’s 100 footprints long.
- Mark off every group of 10 feet so that children can see exactly how many footprints make 100.
