October Teacher’s Corner > Projects
Family Collage |
This fun and creative project lets students learn about each other’s families—and their own!
This activity is appropriate for:
preschool - 3rd grade / 3 - 8 years
You will need:
- Family photos
- Construction Paper - 12" x 18" or posterboard
- Safety Scissors
- Lakeshore Glue Sticks
Directions
- Have students bring in a variety of family photos that they have permission to cut apart and glue. (You might suggest that parents send copies of photos and retain originals of the prints at home!)
- Instruct students to cut out pictures of themselves and their relatives and glue them onto a sheet of construction paper to form a family collage.
- Once collages are finished, invite students to give short presentations about their collage and family to the class.
