Directions:
1. Use a large, white piece of construction paper to create a Family Flag.
2. Use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint to draw designs,
symbols, or images that represent your family.
3. If desired, you can cut out triangles or fringe from colored construction
paper and glue it along the edges of your flag for some extra decoration.
4. Attach to stick.
• Help your child decide what to put on her flag.
Suggest drawing pictures of family members, things
that are important to your family, things you
enjoy doing together, and so on. The flag
can use colors that are important to your
family. If you have ancestors from other
countries, find pictures of their flags and
incorporate designs or colors from them, too.
