whimsical windsock

This charming, colorful windsock project is decorated with kids’ favorite sea creatures!

This activity is appropriate for:
pre-k & up / 4 years & up

You will need:
• Make-A-Scene Foam Sticker Buckets
• Construction Paper - 9" x 12"
• Art Tissue Paper
• Best-Buy School Glue
• Fiskars Classroom Scissors
• Super-Safe Craft Tape Center
• Help-Yourself Ribbon & Yarn Boxes
• Hole punch

Directions:
1.	Using the make-a-scene foam stickers, create an ocean scene on a sheet of construction paper.
2.	Tear off strips of green tissue paper to use as “seaweed.” Glue these onto the art board.
3.	Glue colored shells along the bottom edge of the construction paper. Set aside to dry.
4.	Cut blue tissue paper into several strips, about 1" x 6" each.
5.	Glue the tissue paper strips along the bottom edge of the construction paper.
6.	Allow everything to dry.
7.	Roll the decorated construction paper into a cylinder. Tape it closed to create a windsock.
8.	Punch a hole on each side of the top of the windsock. String yarn through the holes and tie in a knot.
9.	Hang your windsock up!
