shimmering shamrock

Little leprechauns create a spangled, sequined shamrock that’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!

This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten-3rd grade / 5-8 years

You will need:
• Washable Tempera Glitter Paint - 1 Pint - Green
• Lakeshore Heavy-Duty Brushes
• Easy-Stick Glitter Shapes
• Construction Paper - 9" x 12"
• Best-Buy School Glue
• Fiskars Classroom Scissors
• Help-Yourself Ribbon & Yarn Boxes
• Shamrock Template
• Hole punch

Directions:
1.	Use the template to trace a shamrock onto white art board. Cut out the shamrock.
2.	Paint one side of the shamrock with green glitter paint. When the first side is dry, turn the shamrock over and paint the other side the same.
3.	When both sides are completely dry, glue on easy-stick glitter shapes for decoration.
4.	Punch a hole at the top of the shamrock. Thread yarn through the hole and hang anywhere to display.
