fourth of july firecracker
Children celebrate the Fourth of July with a festive firecracker they make themselves!
This activity is appropriate for:
preschool - 3rd grade / 3 - 8 years
You will need:
Directions
- Invite children to paint a paper towel tube with yellow tempera paint. Once dry, encourage children to paint the tube with gold glitter paint. Set aside to dry.
- Next, help children tape different colored pipe stems to the inside of one end of the paper towel tube.
- Decorate the outside of the tube with Wiggly Eyes, and glue on a glitter pom-pom for the nose. Now, kids are ready to celebrate Independence Day with their own Fourth of July firecracker!
