Directions

1. Poke a hole on either side of the bowl, close to the lip.
2. Place the bowl upside down on the table. This side will be the top of the hat.
3. Use various collage materials to decorate your hat.
4. Twist three or four pipe stems into a spiral, and poke the ends into the top of the hat. Underneath the hat, twist the ends of the pipe stems together to keep them in place. (Younger children may need assistance with this.)
5. Tie one end of a yarn lace into a hole on one side of the bowl. Tie the other end of the lace into the other hole, leaving enough hanging below to fit underneath the child’s chin.
6. 
   Put your hat on and let the celebrating begin!
