Directions

1. Roll a piece of 9" x 12" construction paper into a tube, forming the candle. (The “candle” should be 9" tall, not 12".) Apply glue along the open edge of the paper and secure it to the side, so it stays closed. Use tape at the ends if necessary.
2. Decorate the inside and outside of the bowl with tissue paper squares and other craft materials.
3. Decorate the outside of the “candle” with various collage materials. Stand the bottom of your candle inside the center of the decorated bowl. Use craft tape to secure the base of the “candle” to the bowl.
4. Now it’s time to “light” your candle! Stuff the ends of a few pieces of yellow and gold tissue paper squares into the top opening of the candle to create “flames.”
5. 
   Your holiday candle is complete!
