Star-Studded Napkin Rings Example

These napkin rings will add the perfect touch of patriotism to any family’s Independence Day picnic!

This activity is appropriate for:
1st - 3rd grade / 6 - 8 years

You will need:

Directions

  1. Help your child cut the paper towel roll into 4 equal sections to make 4 rings.
  2. Have your child paint the outside of the rings with red, white or blue paint, and set aside to dry.
  3. Place the Star-Shaped Template onto red, white or blue Fun Foam Sheets, and trace around the middle star with a pen or pencil. Repeat to make a total of 4 stars.
  4. Help your child cut the star shapes out of the Fun Foam Sheets.
  5. Encourage your child to use the colorful Jumbo Glitter Painters to decorate 1 side of each foam star.
  6. Finally, glue a foam star to the outside of each painted ring. Be sure to allow the glue to dry completely before using the napkin rings.
