You will need:
Dot Art Painters
Collage Buttons
Hair-Colors Crinkle Strips
Construction Paper - 9" x 12" - Yellow
Construction Paper - 9" x 12" - Blue
Construction Paper - 9" x 12" - Brown
Construction Paper - 9" x 12" - Red

Scarecrow template
• White bag
• Tacky glue
• Paper bowl
• Newspaper
Directions:
1. Invite children to paint a paper bowl with dot art markers. Set aside to dry.
2. Stuff a paper bag half way with newspaper. Secure bag closed with yarn.
3. Create a scarecrow head out of the stuffed portion of the paper bag.
4. Encourage kids to color the head of the scarecrow brown, and the body blue.
5. Glue buttons on for the eyes and construction paper for the nose. Prompt children to draw on a big smile using a red crayon.
6. Add crinkle hair strips to the top of the bag and glue the paper bowl on top for the hat. Set aside to dry.
7. Cut two long yellow strips of construction paper (1" x 9") for the arms, and two long blue strips (1" x 12") for the legs.
8. Direct children to fold the construction paper accordion style and attach to the body of the scarecrow.
9. Using the template, cut two hands and two feet out of brown construction paper. Attach to the arms and legs.
10. Attach yarn at the top to display the scarecrow.
