Prepare for this activity in advance by cutting 1" squares out of orange, red and yellow tissue paper.

Paint each child’s palm and lower arm with washable brown paint. Then have each child press his hand and arm onto a sheet of yellow construction paper. This will be the tree.

Encourage children to decorate their trees with colorful leaves made of the crumpled tissue paper squares.
