Kids make beautiful stained glass art that looks just like the real thing!
This activity is appropriate for:
1st - 3rd grade / 6 - 8 years
You will need:
Directions
- Using the dot art painters, invite kids to create a design onto a 12" x 9" sheet of white tissue paper. Set aside to dry.
- Once the paint is dry, outline the designs in black marker to represent stained glass.
- Fold a 12" x 18" sheet of construction paper in half to form a 12" x 9" rectangle.
- Using crinkle-cut craft scissors, cut out the center of the folded sheet of construction paper to create a frame with a 1" border.
- Place the painted tissue paper inside the frame and seal it by gluing the tissue paper to the construction paper.
- Using tacky glue, decorate the stained glass frame with crystal mosaic tiles.
- Punch a hole at the top and display with yarn!
