spectacular stained glass
Let the sun shine in—through this fun-to-make window hanging that kids create and decorate themselves!
This activity is appropriate for:
kindergarten & up / 5 years & up
You will need:
Directions
- Cut out two 9" x 12" pieces of clear adhesive roll. Lay one on a table, with the sticky side facing up.
- Decorate the adhesive by placing tissue paper squares on it. Feel free to place the squares any way you like!
- When you’ve placed all your tissue squares, place the second adhesive piece (sticky side down) on top, sandwiching the tissue in between the adhesive sheets.
- Cut out a 5¾" x 9½" rectangle from the middle of each piece of black construction paper.
- Place the covered tissue squares in between the two construction paper frames. Glue the edges of the construction paper together.
- Punch a hole at the top of the frame. Thread a pipe stem through the hole, then form it into a loop.
- Decorate the frame with acrylic gemstones or Wikki Stix.
- When everything is dry, your new “stained glass” window is ready to hang up and display!
